How We Fix It
Zebulon sits 14 miles out from our Clayton truck
Which changes how an emergency call here actually plays out compared to a job five minutes down the road. We load the truck knowing we're heading out, not staying local, so the diagnosis has to be right the first time - there's no quick turnaround to grab a part we didn't bring.
- 14 miles
The houses out this way mostly went up around 1993
Newer than a lot of what we see closer to Clayton. That means standard torsion springs, common extension cable sizes, and openers that are usually still a recognizable brand rather than something discontinued thirty years back. A broken spring on a double door here is almost always a known part, not a hunt.
What breaks is still what breaks everywhere
A spring that's done its last cycle, a cable that frayed through, an opener gear that stripped, or a track that got knocked out of line. We look at the door itself before we touch anything - off-track doors get eased back by hand first, not forced, because forcing a door that's jumped track can bend the track or snap a cable under load. Once it's safe, we fix the actual failure, not just the symptom.
